Chegi leader Andre Ventura warned Luis Montenegro this Sunday that his party will have more votes than the PSD in the March 10 elections, regardless of the coalitions that the Social Democrats may form on the right flank.
“Dr. Luis Montenegro, you can join anyone: the PSD, the Liberal Initiative, the ADN, all the parties that exist on the right, on March 10 Chega will have more votes than the PSD,” said Andre Ventura in Caldas da -Rainha during the closing plenary session of Juventude Chega.
The message to the leader of the Social Democrats was expressed in a speech addressed to young people, in which Andre Ventura emphasized the idea that the PSD, SDS and the Liberal Initiative “simply want to unite.” […] so that Chega cannot surpass them in results.”
A position that, according to Andre Ventura, demonstrates that his party is “on the right track” and that it will achieve its goal of surpassing the PSD vote in the next legislative elections.
Chega, he added, “isn’t trying to find a number [de votos] more than B or C” and does not intend to “guarantee another deputy in Leiria, in Viana do Castelo”, “is fighting to win, and when you fight to win, you fight against everything.”
“The PS and PSD might even decide to unite to stop Chege from ruling the country,” said Andre Ventura, arguing that these parties “can delay, they can limit, they can condition,” but “this is as sure as fate, that Chega be the government in Portugal.”
Warning that “the March 10 election is not just an election” but rather a “battle for the rule of law”, leader Chegi told party youth that “if the Socialist Party wins this election again, it will pursue, it will be subject to , that he would annul it, and if successful, he would arrest everyone who contributed to his fall from power in Portugal.”
According to Ventura, if the PS wins, “the independence of justice will be at stake” in a country where “the risk of separation of powers is real, since they [Governo socialista] They never wanted to fight corruption.”
“We, my friends, are the only and most important barrier between the Socialist Party and the Portuguese leadership,” he concluded, calling on the youth of Chega to fight for the party’s victory in the next elections.
