Maduro and Putin join forces on an “agenda of common interests”

The Presidents of Venezuela and Russia this Thursday pledged to provide mutual support for the implementation of “an agenda of common interests in multilateral scenarios” aimed at “building a multi-centered, inclusive, just and democratic world order.”

The commitment was made by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his counterpart Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation during which they reviewed topics of mutual interest, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) said.

According to a statement issued by MRE in Caracas, Maduro and Putin “reviewed the excellent state of bilateral relations, as well as the deep brotherhood that characterizes the strategic partnership between both countries.”
