A 24-year-old man, an immigrant to England, was arrested by police in Camara de Lobos in Madeira for possessing a large quantity of drugs. The arrest took place on Christmas Day.
The suspect was on vacation and raised suspicions. PSP agents searched him and found a large quantity of drugs in his backpack and bag.
He had 547.97 grams of cocaine, 400.54 grams of hashish, 247.21 grams of marijuana, 52.51 grams of heroin and a package with 272.64 grams of an unidentified product intended, in principle, to stop drug use.
The suspect was also caught with hundreds of drug packaging bags, as well as three scissors containing traces of drugs, a coffee grinder and money allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
