The general secretary of the PCP, Paulo Raimundo, said this Saturday in Braga that the only way for the country not to remain the same after the elections of March 10 is to strengthen the votes for this party and the HDZ.
Speaking to journalists during a visit to the living nativity scene in Priscos and speaking at the entrance to the “campus romanus”, Raimundo compared the communists to the Gauls, ensuring that they are ready for the electoral battle of the legislatures and other battles of all days.
“The only way for the country not to remain the same is to strengthen the PKP and the CDU, because people know from their own experience that every time the PKP and the CDU move forward, their lives move forward. This has always been the case throughout history, and now the time has come for this,” he said.
The PKP leader chose four priorities for 2024: increasing wages and pensions, access to the National Health Service, housing and the rights of parents and children.
“These are four fundamental questions that arise today and will arise next year,” he emphasized.
To ensure that everything does not remain the same after March 10, Raimundo confirmed the importance of strengthening the vote for the PKP and the HDZ and assured that the communists are ready for the electoral fight.
“We are here, in this “campus romanus”, and we are Gauls. I don’t know who Asterix is or who Obelix is, I don’t want to get involved in that. But we are Gauls, we “and we are ready to confront this “campus romanus” and we are Gauls. romanus” with all our strength, in electoral battles and in everyday battles, he said.
Reacting to recent statements by former infrastructure minister and new PS leader Pedro Nuno Santos about saving TAP, Paulo Raimundo countered that those who saved the carrier “were the workers and the Portuguese people.”
“If Pedro Nuno Santos wants to join this dynamic of another representative of the Portuguese people to save TAP, that’s fine, that’s true, I saved him too, you saved him too, we all saved him,” he said.
