“The country’s problems cannot be solved either by declarations of good intentions, or by changing the style, or by reworking the main characters,” he said.

Addressing the opponents of the PCP in the next legislative elections, Paulo Raimundo stated that “the empowerment of the PSD, CDS, Chege and IL gives voice to regression and a return to the times of bad memories” when “governments, options and politics, where are those who are where now they call themselves the old Democratic Alliance, but also those who are in Chega and Illinois today.”

“Yes, everyone was there in the Government and in support of the Troika’s policy of national disaster, in the Government’s aggression against the people and the country. Yes, they were all there: SDP, SDS, Chega and IL in cutting pensions, wages, stealing vacations and Christmas benefits,” he said, adding that they were ready to “emphasize their policy of destruction.”

On the other hand, the communist leader also stated that the PKP knows that “giving strength to the PS is giving voice to illusions, it is giving strength to those who, as these two years of absolute majority show, did not respond and did not want to respond to problems.”
