PCP general secretary Paulo Raimundo today blamed right-wing parties for record revenue cuts achieved during the Troika era and once again defended higher reforms and pensions.
Paulo Raimundo, speaking at a lunch in Cusu, Santarem district, repeated the proposal to create a community network of houses and reduce the prices of basic goods.
The leader of the CDU list in Lisbon believes that right-wing parties were “record holders for cutting pensions in the era of the Troika”, pursuing policies that “were theirs, which have always been theirs and continue to be theirs.”
Paulo Raimundo also criticized the PS government for giving 1.600 million euros in tax breaks to economic groups instead of using this amount “to increase pensions and pensions for two million people.”
The communist leader accused the Socialist Party and right-wing parties of “helping economic groups” and “contributing to social failures.”
In his opinion, pensioners and pensioners know that “PSD and SDS, like Chega and Illinois, will only bring failure, both to themselves and to their children and grandchildren.”
Paulo Raimundo noted that all PKP measures to increase the income of “those who work and have worked all their lives” were rejected by PS, PSD, Chega and IL.
“They rejected everything without exception, often stating that there is no money, there is never money for pensioners, in particular for the 72% of pensioners who live on a pension below 500 euros, but there is always money for economic needs. groups,” he accused.
Raimundo advocated lowering food prices and reducing VAT on telecommunications, energy and gas.
To “change politics and open a new path,” the head of the Lisbon PCP list called for a vote for the HDZ in the March 10 legislative elections.
According to the communist leader, pensioners, pensioners and the elderly deserve “respect, attention and quality of life”, and to achieve this it is necessary to create a public network of houses with 80 thousand beds by 2026, as well as increase reforms and pensions. by at least 7.5%.
The Communist General Secretary considered that there were enough resources to put the measure into practice if “the option is to value those who work and those who have worked all their lives”, arguing that the measure should be implemented in April , the year that marked the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution.
The PKP general secretary concluded the intervention with a call to vote for the CDU, which he considered “the alternative to words, dignity and trust.”
