Organizers of the March Against the Islamization of Europe, which is expected to bring together several far-right movements on February 3 in the Martim Moniz district of Lisbon, promise to plan a peaceful protest for the same day. in a designated place if they are prohibited from going outside.
In a conversation with Lusa, a source in the Lisbon City Council confirmed this Friday “receipt of information about the demonstration”, explaining that the process will be referred to the PSP and the Ministry of the Interior for an opinion.
A source in the national directorate of the PSP, in turn, also told Lusa that at the moment “an assessment of the risk of a far-right march is still being carried out in order to give an opinion to the municipality.”

Group spokesman Mario Machado said there had been no incidents at any nationalist demonstrations since 2005.
“This is a lie from the PSP, from the leadership, and this is a lie from Mr. Carlos Moedas,” he added, addressing the issue of the history of violence during the protests.
If the February 3 demonstration is deemed illegal, the group promises to “plan a peaceful protest for the same day at a designated location.”
Meanwhile, the SOS Racism movement also announced that it would file a criminal case with the prosecutor’s office against the organizers of the march “Against the Islamization of Europe” with a request to investigate crimes inciting hatred.
