The National Electoral Commission received 47 complaints regarding regional elections in the Azores.

The National Electoral Commission (CNE) received 47 complaints regarding this Sunday’s regional elections in the Azores, 20 of which were filed by the Socialist Party and 18 by citizens. There are also processes coming from the media, public organizations and other political parties.

The theme of most trials is “neutrality and impartiality of government entities,” but there are also trials related to suspension of office, journalistic treatment of candidates, and propaganda.

Complaints are directed against government agencies, local authorities and the media. Of the 47 complaints, 10 were sent to the ministry and 17 were archived, according to a CNE spokesperson.
