T-shirt donated by Cristiano Ronaldo to help children with cerebral palsy sold amid scandal

An Al-Nasr T-shirt donated by Cristiano Ronaldo to help two boys from Losão with cerebral palsy was bought for 3,500 euros.

The Portuguese star’s T-shirt was sold to raise funds to pay for the treatment of Afonso and Isa. The bid, made by a woman from Marco de Canaveses, took place three minutes before the end of the auction.

The children’s mothers suffered in the last minutes before the sale. All because a man’s bet for 10 thousand euros appeared on the platform.

However, after being contacted, the alleged bidder said he had no knowledge of the matter and that someone had entered his details as a joke. But this man’s “denial” was not the only setback for the mothers.

When contacted, some bidders either did not respond or stated that the price they offered exceeded their actual financial capabilities.

Afonso’s mother needs eight thousand euros to pay for 20 treatment sessions in Braga. Isa’s mother needs €2,500 to pay for a custom-made pillow that her daughter can fit in her wheelchair.

The children’s families admit that they live off donations and support, and accuse the state of lack of help.

Luis Castro as mediator

Ronaldo’s family received help from sports agent Pedro Pedrinho.

A man, a fellow countryman of the children, meets Luis Castro, the Portuguese coach of Al-Nasr. The coach was willing to help and spoke to Ronaldo, who signed the shirt.
