A six-month-old child suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a pole on Avenida Bermardo Santareno in Santarem this Monday.
Also in the car were the father, who was driving and was not injured, the mother, who suffered minor injuries, and the child, who was rescued on the spot and immediately taken to the Santarem hospital, which is less than 200 meters away. . .
The accident is being investigated by the Santarem PSP as it also involved a motorcycle, the driver of which fled, and a bread distribution van that stopped at the scene.
Police also recorded an altercation between the driver of the car that crashed into the pole and the driver of the van, and are also trying to identify the motorcyclist, who was mentioned by several witnesses.
The relief operations involved two fire brigades from Santarem, Zapadores and Voluntarios, as well as PSP, with a total of 10 operators and five vehicles.
