The Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE), through its Northern Regional Unit, dismantled an illegal casino in the north of the country this week.
According to the released statement, the inspection operation “executed two domestic and external search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged off-site gambling offense.”
The intervention was carried out in two houses and also in a drinking establishment. Various materials and utensils intended for illegal gambling were seized, namely: “3 tables suitable for bank gambling, 5 poker sets in a metal box, a total of more than 2500 chips, several decks of cards, dealer chips, small blind chips, 5 dice and an all-in marker, as well as the amount of EUR 12,500.00 in cash,” the statement states. In addition, ASAE also notes that a 6.35 mm Tanfoglio firearm was also seized Giuseppe, as well as 6 pieces of ammunition, 3 plastic airsoft pistols 1911-A1, metal gas airsoft pistol G292, plastic automatic machine without a brand name – pistol pistol with water balls, 14 gas cylinders Smart Gás and a box with 8 small bags with balls for projectiles for Air Soft weapons.
During the action, three computers and three mobile phones were checked to conduct research and collect data.
