Vitor Catao is already at home in Gondomar, where he will await trial under house arrest with an electronic bracelet. The three-storey house is located in an area overlooking the Dragau stadium.
The accused arrived home at 11:10am in a van with a mobile phone and remained handcuffed with his head covered by a hood. He was accompanied by Catan’s lawyer Susana Muran, as well as the wife and children of the former director of San Pedro da Cova, who were waiting for him at home, where he was fitted with an electronic bracelet.
Catao had been in the Aveiro prison since the 7th, when Judge Pedro Miguel Vieira ordered the custodial sentence. He is suspected of attacking Porto members during the club’s general assembly in November, when he also threatened and attempted to attack journalists.
The famous Porto fan, who became a social media star thanks to the provocative football videos he filmed live, is one of 12 accused in “Operation Praetorian”, which also led to the arrest of Fernando Madureira, head of Superdragões and his wife Sandra .
