PAN criticizes the revival of AD values

A PAN spokesman confirmed this Saturday in Porto that the party is “not ready to lend a helping hand to AD” and criticized what was “a revival of values ​​that does not do justice to the needs of the population at this stage.” time”. .

Ines Sousa Real, who commented on the return of Durau Barroso and António Costa in the campaigns of the Democratic Alliance and the PS respectively, noted that “more than a return and, above all, a return to the past, as far as PAN is concerned, the current moment is, in fact, statements made in particular by Luis Montenegro regarding unemployment benefits.”

“We cannot forget that anyone who has paid into the social security system and is unemployed has the right to receive remuneration for his work, which he has paid in proportion to what he has received, and that Portugal is a country where we would have about four million people would be in poverty if it weren’t for social support,” he said.

The PAN leader believes that “it is important that Luis Montenegro comes and explains what he wants and that he tells the country by March 10 what his intentions are regarding the fundamental right of those who have made discounts, in a fragile situation such as that of unemployment “

“We are here in the city of Porto with a project that is clearly focused on the circular economy. I don’t think the maxim of recycling has ever received such due attention, because in politics too we need to recycle what is an old habitual policy that did not bring benefits, especially during the time of the troika,” he emphasized.

According to Ines Souza Real, it is necessary to “invest, yes, in humanistic policies, in policies that can somehow bring back protection, inclusion, social development in a sustainable way, betting on a green economy, taking into account climate change, but also animal protection, and none of this is present either in the speech of Durán Barroso or in the speech of those who are part of AD and who intend to somehow constitute an alternative for the country.” .

“PAN has already made it clear that he cannot help AD, we make a clear distinction between PSD and AD, these are completely different values ​​than the values ​​that PAN represents and so the people of the 10th have a clear alternative – that is PAN , the only party that works in the Assembly of the Republic all year round to take care of people, protect animals and protect nature,” he added.
