The general secretary of the PKP said this Wednesday that the CDU will be the “big surprise of election night” and expressed confidence that it can stop the “bipolarization” with the help of workers’ votes, also keeping in mind the party’s 103rd anniversary.
“There are 103 years of history, history that is intertwined with the history of the country and the workers. Over the years, we have faced and overcome all the unknowns for one reason: connected to the workers. And this connection with the workers will also be decided by the unknown, and we will be a big surprise on election night, I have no doubt about it,” said Paulo Raimundo.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning at the entrance to the Lisnave shipyard in Setúbal, the communist leader noted “a very special day”, emphasizing that the PKP this morning “is currently in more than 100 companies all over the country to contact workers.”
