This Wednesday, the Judicial Police (PJ) carried out house searches in the Aveiro area as part of cooperation with the Spanish police in an operation to combat drug money laundering.
A search warrant for the home was executed, a PJ source said.
In Spain, the operation included searches in Catalonia, Madrid and Almeria, according to Spanish news agency EFE.
The searches, according to EFE, took place under the coordination of Europol. In Catalonia, searches took place in Tarragona and Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
Some 150 Spanish agents took part in the operation, in addition to judicial police officers who carried out searches in the Aveiro region and a representative of Europol.
