Lucilia Gago believes that the court may have conditions for concluding an agreement

The Attorney General of the Republic, Lucília Gago, defended this Thursday the need to strengthen confidence in justice, although she believes that it currently exists and understands that “there may be conditions” for concluding a pact on justice.

Lucília Gago spoke at the end of the conference “Justice before and after April 25”, which took place this Thursday at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, and the final session of which was chaired by the President of the Republic, Marcelo. Rebelo de Souza, who stressed that there can be no democracy without “independent and widely reliable justice” and that this is where “dictatorial temptations begin,” asked all participants to introspect and reconsider methods.

Regarding the calls for reliable justice left by the President of the Republic, Lucília Gago responded with agreement, believing that “certainly” the relationship of trust between politics and justice is important and that she believes that “in essence” there is a certainty of justice.
