The Ministry of Education has decided to extend until Thursday the deadline for submitting applications for competitions for the enrollment of early childhood educators and teachers in primary and secondary schools in public schools.
The original deadline expired on Tuesday when the National Federation of Education (FNE), one of the unions representing teachers, complained today that the IT application platform was flawed and called on the government to extend the deadline for competitions.
In a subsequent media release, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation says it has “strengthened the capacity of civil servants” and has decided to extend the application deadline for the 2024 internal and external competitions to 6:00 pm 2024. Thursday / 2025.
The ministry acknowledged that the Directorate General of School Administration platform was “widely accessible” and the “initial deadline” for applications was approaching.
In the note, the guardianship emphasizes that “it is necessary that competitions proceed normally, guaranteeing peace of mind for public school teachers,” in a year when “new rules for competitions for the employment of teachers apply.”
