The Valonghense goalkeeper was brutally attacked by a Vista Alegre fan this Sunday afternoon in Ilhavo during the counting of matches for the Aveiro district.
The suspect left the occupied territory outside the Valongense gate with the help of the Ultras Porcelana support group. He walked onto the field and ended up punching the 21-year-old in the face. The match was counted in the first division of the Aveiro Football Association District Championship, and Vista Alegre was already winning 2–0 at the time of the brutal attack. GNR Ilhavo unit was called to the scene. However, when authorities arrived at the Vista Alegre camp, the suspect, about 40 years old, managed to escape. Authorities are now looking for the man. The young goalkeeper, after stabilizing his condition, was taken by Ilhavo firefighters to a hospital in Aveiro.
