Now a new TV channel from Medialivre – owner of Negócios, morning Post, CMTVSábado and Record – will feature Joao Cotrim de Figueiredo, former leader of the Liberal Initiative (IL), and Fernanda de Almeida Pinheiro, President of the Bar Association, as the main characters.
Cotrim de Figueiredo, who is IL’s leader in the European elections on June 9, will take part in political face-to-face meetings.
“As a liberal, I like what’s free, what’s live, what’s new. Now all this is there, so it will be nice to be at the beginning of the broadcasts,” says the former deputy.
Fernanda Almeida Pinheiro will regularly appear in a program dedicated to justice on the new channel.
It has now been revealed that its main characters include former Prime Minister António Costa, former PSD President Rui Rio, former Finance Minister Fernando Medina, as well as Cardinal D. Américo Aguiar, PSD parliamentary leader Hugo Soares and Social Democratic MP . Andre Coelho Lima.
The new channel will be officially presented on Friday, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pedro Duarte, as well as other important figures in society.
