“I had a day off, which drove me crazy, and I went back to work almost immediately,” he added.

For Ivor, “sitting at home all day” could be “deadly”.

“The day flies by like lightning. Basically, it keeps the mind busy and active,” said a man who has lived alone for 30 years. Daily mail.

He says that sitting at home and doing nothing is like “purgatory” and that he will “get old quickly.”

Ivor Ward began his career in the army in 1943 and worked continuously until he was 79, working in a variety of occupations, from civil engineer to professional poker player.

When he turns 100, Ivor plans to take a year off to travel the world playing poker and visiting “the hottest casinos.”
