The summer festival season is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the end of big concerts. Several major shows are scheduled for the rest of the year at the country’s main venues, featuring national and international artists.
In the first half of September, Nei Matogrosso returns to Portugal to give three concerts that promise to be unforgettable (the 6th at the Coliseu de Lisboa, the 12th at the Coliseu do Porto and again the 15th in the capital).
Xutos & Pontapés celebrate their 45th anniversary at the Queimódromo do Porto on the 14th of next month. Back to Brazilian rhythms, Roberto Carlos gives concerts in Ponta Delgada (September 19), Lisbon (Meo Arena, October 4) and Braga (Fórum Braga, October 6); and Ludmila fills the Restelo stadium in Lisbon on September 28.
Almost a month later, on October 27, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds take to the stage at Meo Arena. In a different style, Andre Rieu returns to our country for performances on November 1 and 2 at Meo Arena.
Also in November, Pedro Abruñosa performs at the Pavilhã Rosa Mota, Porto (7th, 8th and 10th place) and at the Meo Arena (23rd place), and Anselmo Ralph gives his concert at Campo Pequeno, Lisbon (22nd place) and at the Pavilhã Rosa Mota (23rd place).
The last month of the year’s highlights include Brazil’s Luisa Sonsa (Campo Pequeno, December 9) and the historic Paulo de Carvalho (Casa da Música, Porto, December 28 and Belém Cultural Centre, Lisbon, December 29).
