Court officials say government proposal still falls short of requirements

The Union of Judicial Employees (SFJ) considered this Friday that the government’s proposal to improve pay conditions “does not yet meet” the requirements, although it captures the “small increase” proposed by the Minister of Justice Rita Alarcao Giudice.

“She has not yet met our demands. There has been a slight increase in these 14 days: it has risen from 1.66% to 2.5%. We will analyze and continue negotiations. Our demand is well known and we will return here at the next meeting,” – he said. hoping that the government will continue to move closer to our position,” said SFJ President António Marsal after a meeting at the Ministry of Justice in Lisbon.

The Ministry of Justice presented this Friday a new proposal to the unions of judicial workers, proposing to pay a procedural bonus of 12.5% of the basic salary for 12 months, compared to 11.66% proposed at the previous meeting.
