The general secretary of the National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof), Mario Nogueira, accused the government on Tuesday of being responsible for the fact that the commitment to the strike is growing “by the day”.
“The government is not presenting any proposals that could allow the strike to end or ease the strike,” Mario Nogueira told reporters in Viseu, estimating that 98% of teachers in the area are on strike on Tuesday.
The levels of strike commitment are, in his opinion, “the response of teachers to every meeting” with the Ministry of Education, since “in some aspects there is a complete lack of measures” and, “in relation to others, a complete lack of measures.”
