On World Children’s Day, communists reiterate the idea that “free kindergarten for all children with a quality response requires the creation of a social network,” calling for achievements such as “free kindergarten for children under 3 years of age.”
“However, the number of places in the country covers just over half the number of children under this age, leaving many of them without a place. In this sense, the PKP presents a bill to create a network of public kindergartens, with the goal of providing 100,000 places by 2028 and a total of 148,000 places by 2030, integrating kindergartens into the education system, thereby protecting the child’s right to education from birth.” , they explain.
The parliamentary faction of the Communists also presents a bill to restore the universality of family benefits and expand the criteria for access to prenatal benefits, as well as increase their amount, arguing that “family benefits are a child’s right, therefore it must be applied to all children under 18 years of age” and “an expression of constitutional strengthening the protection of children and youth by the state.”
PCP is also introducing a legislative initiative aimed at “raising the meaning of change and its pedagogical role, by creating spaces for play and communication in active and healthy ways, reducing time spent with digital equipment in school, and promoting healthy and trustworthy growth.” “
The communists simultaneously propose to “hire more school psychologists, more teacher-librarians, develop extracurricular activities of a school, artistic, sports nature, etc.”
