The Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI), PSP unions and GNR associations failed to reach an agreement on the risk subsidy on Tuesday.
“There was no agreement. It was a long marathon. There was a proposal from the MAI, which we did not follow,” Bruno Pereira, a representative of the PSP trade union platform and the GNR associations, told reporters at the end of the meeting with the minister. Internal management.
For the president of the National Police Union, the value presented by the MAI “was half of what” the platform stood for.
On Tuesday, the government proposed a €300 increase in the PSP and GNR risk premium, an amount that will be paid in stages until 2026, increasing the premium from the current €100 to €400.
Under the proposal, the €300 supplement would be paid three times: €200 in July and the remainder at the beginning of 2025 and 2026, with an increase of €50 each year.
Under the proposal, the fixed portion of the current security force service and risk allowance increases from €100 to €400, while maintaining the variable portion at 20% of the basic salary of GNR military personnel and PSP police officers.
