A 16-year-old girl was brutally murdered Saturday afternoon with multiple stab wounds in a park in Warrington, England. Brianna Gay was found by police around 3:15 p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the British press.
The teenager’s body will undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death. As far as the English newspaper The Mirror was able to find out, the authorities believe that this is a crime of passion. Now the police are asking people who were in the park from 13:30 to 16:00 to help with the investigation.
There are records of two suspects, a man and a woman, spotted at the location where Brianna was found. Witnesses described them as young, Caucasian, with dark curly hair. They are already looking for.
“I would like to reassure the local community that we are working hard to find those responsible for Brianna’s death,” lead detective Mike Evans said.
