The building the group occupies used to house the Military Conscription Administration and is now owned by the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation.
Whenever the group has been approached by residents and workers in the area, it has ended up reacting aggressively. People complain of a foul smell and say that people are cooking outside and doing their business close to the house they live in.
Civil Protection and municipal police went to the site to check the situation after residents reported the problem at a meeting of the municipal security council. The mayor of Porto ordered the building to be sealed, which should happen next week.
