I am praying for him, his family, and everyone who was at the rally as we await further information. We are grateful to the Secretaries of State for getting him to safety. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as a nation to condemn it,” the US president said.
“This is currently an active Secret Service investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available,” the Secret Service said in a statement on X.
