FBI Identifies Shooter Suspected of Trying to Kill Donald Trump at Pennsylvania Rally

The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old white man, as “involved” in the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.

The young man, originally from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was a registered Republican, Reuters reports.

“The FBI has identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the man involved in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, and anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to post photos or videos online,” the FBI, which is investigating the case, said in a statement. CNN had access.

The attack, which occurred just days before Donald Trump became the official Republican presidential nominee, left two dead, including the shooter, and two seriously injured. Trump was hit in the ear, but is healthy.
