Coletivo Porta dos Fundos presents an improvisational comedy with stories from the audience

The Porta dos Fundos collective is back in Portugal and this Wednesday at Forum Braga they are starting a tour of the country with the improvisational comedy show Portátil. The group, made up of Gregorio Duvivier, João Vicente de Castro and Gustavo Miranda, will once again count on the participation of Ines Aires Pereira.

“It’s a play that we love to bring to Portugal and that the Portuguese public receives with great warmth and affection,” says Gregorio, who guarantees “a completely different play” at each performance, in which “a person’s life is told by a volunteer from the audience,” making “Portátil” a show made on the spot.

“There’s something special about Portugal, it’s where we like to do Portátil the most. The stories we hear are different from those in Brazil,” he says. “Seeing how Brazilians try to understand and tell Portuguese history makes us dizzy and it’s a lot of fun,” he explains.

Regarding the participation of Ines Aires Pereira, Gregorio speaks of a “great friend” with whom he had great “chemistry”.

Ines admits: “It’s so scary and incredibly difficult, but at the same time it’s rewarding to be able to challenge yourself and live in the here and now with such great risks, such as disarming yourself, making the audience laugh and traveling with us.”

The show will be performed on Thursday in Coimbra (Convento San Francisco), Lisbon (Aula Magna, 26th, 27th and 28th), Porto (Colosseu, 29th) and Leiria (Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, 30th).
