Two children were killed and 11 people were injured. as a result of a stab wound, this Monday, in Southport, near Liverpool, England, while they were attending dance classes linked to singer Taylor Swift. The suspect, a 17-year-old minor, was arrested and the knife seized.
Children aged six to 10 attended a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance workshop at Hope of Hart, a venue housed in an old warehouse.
This was announced by the Chief of Merseyside Police. BBC that agents were shocked when they arrived at the scene because the victims showed signs of a brutal attack. Among the injured, six were children and two adults were in serious condition.
“The children were attending a Taylor Swift event at a dance school when an assailant armed with a knife entered the premises and began attacking them. We believe the injured adults were courageously trying to protect the children,” Serena Kennedy said.
English police said the motive for the incident was still unclear but the case was not being treated as terrorism.
