The Judicial Police (PJ) have arrested four young people aged between 16 and 19 suspected of robbing a petrol station and a TVDE driver in the Porto area in April and August, police said Friday.
The SP said in a statement that on April 27 at 7:30 a.m., the suspects entered a gas station in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto district, wearing hoods and, threatening an employee with a gun, stole all the money from the cash register, tobacco and alcoholic beverages.
In another case, on August 2, at 11:30 p.m., the accused requested a transport service through the TVDE platform and, once in the car, threatened the driver and kept him kidnapped until 5:30 a.m., forcing him to drive between Ermesinde and Ponte de Lima, passing through Maia, Porto and Matosinhos, he explained.
The young men allegedly stole all the money the driver had on him and even withdrew money from an ATM onto his bank card, he added.
The detainees, who were charged with robbery and kidnapping, have already been charged with crimes against property, the Accounts Chamber reported.
