The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, received a medal of honor from the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), announced this Friday by the Palace of Belém.
The award was given to the Portuguese head of state “in recognition of his contribution to the consolidation of the Ibero-American space, as well as to the deepening of cooperation between the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization of Ibero-American States and the Community.” Portuguese-speaking countries,” reads the note from the President of the Republic.
