GNR detained two men aged 23 and 36 on suspicion of drug trafficking in Alijo and Sabros and seized drugs such as cocaine, ecstasy or cannabis, the Vila Real Territorial Command said this Friday.
The Núcleo de Investigação Criminal (NIC) investigation in Peso da Régua lasted about three months and ended on Thursday with four searches and the arrest of two men suspected of selling the drug “directly to consumers in those counties.”
The GNR statement said that in the course of police investigations, the military executed four search warrants, three houses and one in a car, in the municipalities of Aliho and Sabros.
As a result of the searches, 330 doses of cocaine, 431 MDMA (known as ecstasy) tablets, 12 doses of hashish, two doses of cannabis, 68.6 grams of cutting product for mixing with drugs, six brands of LSD (psychoactive substances) were seized. , two bottles of LSD (liquid), three accurate scales, an electric gun (“taser”), 100 euros in cash, two mobile phones and a car.
The suspects will be present for the first judicial interrogation during the day this Friday at the Aliho Judicial Court for any enforcement action.
The GNR operation included the reinforcement of the Alijo and Sabros Territorial Posts, the Environmental Protection Core (NPA) and the Crime Prevention and Community Police Section (SPCPC) in Peso da Régua, the NIC in Vila Real, two technical binomials for dogs from the Intervention Squad Vila Real (DI) and two teams from the Public Order Intervention Group (GIOP) from the Intervention Unit (UI).
