The Liberal Initiative marks its political “return” this Saturday with the fourth edition of the “Agosto da Liberdade” party, which will begin in the late afternoon in Quarteira and will include a speech by the party’s president, Rui Rocha.
According to the Liberal Initiative, the fourth traditional liberal “rentrée” event will this time start at 7:00 pm in Praça do Mar in Quarteira, Faro district.
The event, which is being held for the fourth time, will feature “live music, entertainment, an al fresco dinner” and “a highlight will be the intervention of Rui Rocha,” the party’s president, according to the party.
This will be the fourth year in a row that IL will hold its political “renre” in the Algarve with the traditional party Agosto da Liberdade. Last year, the event took place in Armação de Pêra, after it had already passed through Albufeira and Portimão.
The party joins a group of political forces that have chosen the Algarve region to celebrate their return to work – also the PSD with the usual Festa do Pontal festival and Chega with a dinner in Olhão “returned” to the south of the country.
The Liberal Initiative has used this political “return” to set goals for the political year. Last year, in Armação de Pêra, Rui Rocha presented 10 commitments for the next decade, which include sectors such as water and agriculture, environment and energy, education and health.
