Neuen Perez already at Porto but the Dragons need another centre-back

Argentine central defender Neuén Pérez has already arrived to sign for Porto, but a new defensive option is expected at the Dragao before the market closes (next Monday).

The signing of the 24-year-old former Udinese man gives Vitor Bruno three candidates for the position (the other centre-backs are Ze Pedro and Otavio, while Marcano continues to recover from a long layoff) and few alternatives for a long season.

SAD will therefore accelerate the acquisition of a new center. Jair, a 19-year-old Brazilian from Santos, is a player with great potential to improve. The Brazilian likes the structure, but the 15 million euros asked for the São Paulo emblem could make the deal difficult, at least for now.

In the last few hours, Porto’s defence has acquired a new name: Bosnian Anel Ahmedhodzic from Sheffield United (English 2nd Division).

The 25-year-old is, according to the British press, in the orbit of FC Porto. There is also news from England about possible interest in Moroccan Nayef Aguerd from West Ham.

There are also rumors about the return of Danilo Pereira, who left PSG (he was at Dragão from 2015 to 2020).

After Guhl, Samu, Fabio Vieira and Perez, Porto are very close to finalising their squad. In addition to another central defender, the option to sign a left-back is open. Francisco Moura (Famalicão) is one of the favourites, but an alternative could come from Brazil.

Fabio Vieira has only trained once under Vitor Bruno but is expected to be called up for the Classic. The left-footed player does not have the pace to play but is fit having trained under Arteta at Arsenal. The game is expected to start on the bench but that is a bet.
