A Brazilian suspected of cannibalism in the Netherlands was detained by the SEF at the Lisbon airport on Monday evening, according to SABADO and additional data collected cm.
Begolean Fernandes, 25, is suspected of committing a murder on the Vegasstraat in the north of Amsterdam on Sunday evening and fled to Portugal shortly after, allegedly with human meat in his luggage.
According to an official SEF source, the suspect landed on a flight from Amsterdam and intended to board a flight to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, but presented an Italian identity document that aroused suspicion and later turned out to be fake. When the authorities established the man’s true identity, they discovered that the Dutch authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest the day before. He was immediately arrested and will be present at the Court of Appeal for extradition purposes.
