The Viseu Court will try six men and one woman, aged between 22 and 66, who are in a family relationship and acted in a well-structured manner, for crimes related to drug trafficking and possession of illegal weapons.
The scheme started in July 2020. The drugs – heroin, cocaine, hashish and cannabis – were purchased in large quantities in the cities of Porto, Maya and Vila Real and then sold at the couple’s home, bar, gas station and next to Tabuaso High School.
In conversations with consumers, the word “drug” was replaced with “wine” or “bottles”. “A game or two games” was equivalent to the phrase “10 or 20 euros”. During the year, the business brought in a profit of 21,435 euros. It all ended when the element took a taxi to Porto to buy drugs and was intercepted by the GNR on the A4, in Amarante.
