According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), seven areas on the mainland are under a yellow warning on Tuesday due to a forecast of maritime riots.
Warning for the areas of Viana do Castelo, Porto, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga started today at 1:27 am and continues until 9:00 am, with waves expected from the west/northwest of 4 to 4.5 meters .
A yellow warning, the least severe, is issued by the IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain weather-dependent activities.
According to information available on the Portuguese Navy website, the sea bays at Caminha, Esposende, Vila Praia de Ancora, Povoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde are closed to navigation.
Bars Aveiro, Figueira da Foz and Viana do Castelo are air conditioned.
