A man in his 50s was detained this Saturday on a beach in Almada’s Costa da Caparica on suspicion of sexual harassment and exhibitionist acts in front of three girls aged between 15 and 17.
This was stated by the commander of the maritime police of Setubal, Marco Serrano Augusto. cm that the arrest took place at 13:00 on the beach of Tarquinio Paraiso.
A man in his 50s committed exhibitionistic and sexual acts, which was reported to the NCIS.
The suspect has been drawn up arguido and will be present in court on Monday to apply the appropriate enforcement measures.
It should be recalled that sexual harassment is a crime punishable by law, according to Article 170 of September 4, 2015, which states that “who harasses another person by performing acts of an exhibitionistic nature in front of him, formulating proposals of a sexual nature or forcing her to have sexual intercourse nature, is punishable by imprisonment for up to 1 year or a fine for up to 120 days, unless a more severe punishment is applied to it by virtue of a different provision of the law.
