Prosecutor Wanted to Include CMTV Report on Ex-Marine Training, Judge Denies

The judge insists, “Did they already know when they called, or did the cable say they were a PSP?”

“They reported a fight and the hospitalization of one of the militants,” says Corporal Fonseca.

“They already knew it was a PSP,” he continues.

The witness has been fired.

The defendants stated that they only had 4/5 of their self-defense classes. But the CMTV report that accompanied the Marines shows an intense formation.

The prosecutor wants the report in question to be judged, but the judge refuses to do so.

Corporal Fonseca continues the speech and mentions that the ex-Marines told him they were attacked at the disco door in a confusion with PSP agents.

However, when the judge asks him how he knew the PSP agents were involved in the confusion, Corporal Fonseca contradicts himself.

“I learned from the media,” he says.

The court session begins with Corporal Fonseca being heard through a video call on his cell phone. He is in Mozambique, participating in the fighting.

Corporal Fonseca knows the defendants from the Marine Corps rate and the base where they were stationed.

Claudio Coimbra’s defense asks: “Can you report the first contact you had? How did you find out about the facts?

Cabo Fonseca replies: “It was lunch time and Claudio Coimbra called me. He told me he made a mess outside the disco. [do que tinha acontecido]”.

“He told me that one of the elements involved was hospitalized,” he says.

“I tried to find out [Claúdio] was one of the attackers. I immediately told him that in connection with this we should contact the structure, ”he says.
