Chegi President Andre Ventura called this Saturday to join the protests against the presence of Brazilian President Lula da Silva in Parliament on 25 April.
“On April 25, everyone comes to parliament at 9:00! We join the general voice against Lula da Silva, corruption and government laxity. For Portugal, for a free Brazil, for Ukraine. A thief should be in prison!” twitter. The publication was accompanied by a video of the politician, in which he presented the reasons for promoting protests against the Brazilian leader.
For Ventura, Lula da Silva represents an attack on European values and a breach of confidence in Portuguese institutions. He also took the opportunity to mention the government of José Socrates and talk about the position of the President of Brazil in the face of the war in Ukraine.
“Endemic corruption cannot get the green light in parliament. We are satisfied with what is in Portugal. We cannot accept it, import it and honor it as if it were something good. Our voice cannot be silenced or silenced (…) Together we will shout that we do not want more corruption in our country,” he stressed.
