This Saturday, the GNR identified a 39-year-old woman who abandoned six dogs in the town of Castelo Novo in the municipality of Fundau.
According to the GNR statement, the complaint was filed after six disoriented dogs were seen roaming the streets alone. The animals were collected by the Lost Animal Collection Center Fundau (CROAEF) and provided with veterinary and medical care.
Animals are now available for responsible adoption.
“GNR cares about the protection of animals on a daily basis, calling for the exposure of possible situations of abuse or abandonment, violations or clarification of doubts,” one can read in the communiqué of the source of authority.
