Chega files a complaint with the Ministry of Public Administration against Augusto Santos Silva for abuse of power

The Chega Party filed this Monday a complaint against Augusto Santos Silva with the State Ministry for abuse of power. We are talking about the exclusion of André Ventura’s party from the official trips of the Assembly of the Republic after the protests against Lula da Silva.

In the complaint, which cm had access, Chega states that the President of the Assembly of the Republic “unilaterally and arbitrarily decided to exclude the aforementioned parliamentary group from the parliamentary delegations.”

According to Chega, there is no norm or law that “would allow the President of the Assembly of the Republic to exclude any parliamentary group from the delegation by an absolutely arbitrary decision,” the complaint says.

The decision to exclude the party from parliamentary visits “is clearly anti-democratic and unconstitutional, but in addition to this and, if there is no better opinion, the Accused by his conduct committed the crime of abuse of power, provided for and punishable by article 26 º of Law no. 34/87 of July 16 on crimes for which persons holding political positions are responsible,” says Chega.
