Zelensky is ready to listen to peace initiatives based on the Ukrainian plan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed today that he is ready to welcome initiatives to achieve peace in the Russian invasion war, as long as they are based on the ten-point plan presented by Ukraine.

“Firstly, the war is going on on our territory, and therefore any existing peace plan should refer to the Ukrainian initiative,” which was presented in Indonesia during the G20 meeting, he said during a press conference. Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

As for the countries that submitted proposals, including Brazil, on the basis of which the question of journalists was asked, Zelensky said that Ukraine does not need many plans.

“We are ready to listen to the initiatives of any country,” the President of Ukraine said, stressing the importance of involving as many countries as possible in his proposal to hold a summit for peace based on the Ukrainian 10-point plan.

During his first visit to Germany since the Russian invasion, Zelensky confirmed that the country is ready to discuss any proposal, but only in the context of the measures presented by Ukraine.

In turn, the German chancellor stressed his full support for Ukraine, which, he added, “is ready for peace.”

However, Olaf Scholz stated that Ukraine is demanding that this does not mean “just freezing the war and making a peace dictated by Russia.”

“This is an imperialist attack on the territory of Ukraine, and peace and security in Europe are under threat,” he warned.

The German Chancellor also stressed that in order to be able to talk about peace, it must be clear that “Russia must withdraw its troops.”

Zelensky is visiting allies, trying to secure additional arms shipments to help his country defend against a Russian invasion and find funds to rebuild what has been ravaged by more than a year of devastating conflict.

On the eve of his arrival, which takes place amid tight security, the German government announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth more than 2,700 million euros ($3 billion), including tanks, anti-aircraft systems and ammunition.
