The head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine was arrested as part of an anti-corruption operation

Vsevolod Knyazev, It is reported that the chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine was arrested during an anti-corruption operation. Information is disseminated by the Ukrainian media with reference to a report with the results of the work of the Anti-Corruption Department and the Special Prosecutor’s Office of this country.

According to the newspaper DV, an undue advantage scheme carried out by the leadership and judges of the Supreme Court was exposed. The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine is suspected of taking bribes in the amount of more than 2.6 million euros.

It was announced that an extraordinary meeting would be held on Tuesday to review the results of the operation and around Vsevolod Knyazev.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed to be more decisive in combating the culture of bribery that is widespread in the country. Zelensky’s main goal is to show that Ukraine is ready to negotiate accession to the European Union.
