Jack Sonny, guitarist for British rock band Dire Straits, died Friday at the age of 68.
The announcement was made by the other members of the band on social media, where they remember the artist as “a true guitar enthusiast who loved to play, improvise and talk all day about guitars and amps. He joined us on tour during the Brothers in Arms days and embraced life on the road with the band like a fish in water.”
“Jack made friends wherever he went, and his many friends around the world will miss him. At this time, our thoughts are with his family,” the band members lamented.
The causes of death are not yet known.
