Morocco is mobilizing about 1.3 million euros to build a new stadium in Casablanca and renovate six others to host the 2025 FIFA Cup of Nations (CAN) and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The investment will be carried out in two phases, starting with the renovation of six stadiums between 2023 and 2025 to meet Confederation of African Football (CAF) requirements, followed by a new phase between 2025 and 2028 to meet Confederation of African Football (CAF) requirements ( CAF). FIFA requirements for the World Cup, which will be organized jointly with Portugal and Spain.
The Mohamed V complex in Casablanca, Moulay Abdallah in Rabat and the stadiums in Tangier, Agadir, Marrakech and Fez are the sites to be renovated, while new infrastructure will be built in Benslimane in the Casablanca region, which will only be built after the event. from CAN.
“The organization of CAN2025 and the 2030 FIFA World Cup is a recognition of the place that Morocco occupies among great countries,” congratulated Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Ajanouh.
