The president of the International Motorcycling Federation, Portuguese Jorge Viegas, on Monday, in a statement to Agência Lusa, guaranteed the continued participation of rider Miguel Oliveira in the MotoGP World Championship with Aprilia.
“We have to completely separate Miguel Oliveira’s situation from the situation in the team. “Miguel Oliveira is calm, there will be a new director and the team will have a different name,” assured Jorge Viegas.
The FIM president admitted that the new Aprilia-linked team will have a “North American capital”.
Regarding the finished championship, Jorge Viegas says that the balance is positive.
