“Afro Fado”, Slow J’s new album released on Friday, became the most streamed Portuguese album ever on the first day of its release on Spotify, the social media platform announced.
The album features Teresa Salgueiro on the single “Nascidos & Criados” and Gson on “Origami”, the 14th and final song from Afro Fado.
The album cover was widely discussed on social media as it combined two Portuguese symbols. On November 24, the artist shared an old photo on social networks in which Eusebio greets Amalia.
Abroad, the album was included in the list of the most listened to albums among those released from November 23 to 26. He is eighth on the list.
The singer will perform “Afro Fado” live on March 8 at the Altice Arena. Tickets for the show are already sold out.
